At Hire Emmie, we strive to ensure that both our employers and talents have a smooth, transparent, and satisfactory experience on our platform. However, we understand that circumstances may arise where a refund is requested. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds will be granted and the process for requesting a refund. By using the Hire Emmie platform, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.

1. Non-Refundable Fees

1.1. Processing Fee

  • The processing fee paid by Employers upon submitting a hiring request is non-refundable. This fee is used to cover the administrative costs of processing your request and shortlisting suitable talents for your project.

1.2. Recruitment Fee

  • The recruitment fee per recruited talent is generally non-refundable after the Employer has selected a talent and agreed to hire them for a project. However, in exceptional cases (such as Hire Emmie being unable to provide a suitable talent within the agreed timeframe), the recruitment fee may be refunded, at Hire Emmie’s discretion.

2. Refunds on Talent Compensation and Service Charge

Hire Emmie holds employer payments for talent compensation and service charges in escrow until the project is completed and the Employer confirms satisfaction. Refunds for these payments are handled under the following conditions:

2.1. Dissatisfaction with Talent Deliverables

  • If the Employer is dissatisfied with the deliverables after the talent has completed the project, the Employer must first allow the talent a reasonable opportunity to make corrections or improvements. This includes one or more rounds of reiterations based on the agreed scope of work.

2.2. Replacement of Talent

  • If the Employer remains unsatisfied after reiterations and beyond reasonable doubt it is determined that the talent cannot deliver the expected results, Hire Emmie will replace the talent with a new professional at no additional recruitment fee.
  • In cases where the replacement talent is also unable to meet the Employer’s needs after reasonable efforts, a partial or full refund may be considered.

2.3. Refund Conditions

  • Refunds will only be considered in situations where:
    • The talent has failed to deliver the agreed-upon work after multiple attempts.
    • Hire Emmie is unable to find a suitable replacement for the talent.
    • There is beyond reasonable doubt that Hire Emmie cannot provide satisfactory delivery after all available options have been exhausted.

2.4. Refundable Amount

  • If a refund is deemed necessary, only the talent compensation and service charge will be refunded. The following conditions apply:
    • If the Employer has received part of the deliverables that meet the required standards, a partial refund corresponding to the undelivered work will be issued.
    • If the project has not commenced or no deliverables have been provided, a full refund of the talent compensation and service charge may be granted.

3. No Refunds for Satisfactory Deliverables

  • If the Employer confirms that they are satisfied with the deliverables provided by the talent, no refund will be issued for either the talent compensation or the service charge. Once payment is released to the talent, the Employer is considered to have accepted the work, and the transaction is final.

4. Refund Request Process

4.1. Submitting a Refund Request

  • To request a refund, the Employer must contact Hire Emmie’s support team at **@*******ie.com within 7 days of receiving the final deliverables. The request must include:
    • A detailed explanation of the dissatisfaction with the deliverables.
    • Evidence of communications showing the efforts made to resolve the issues with the talent.
    • Confirmation that reiterations have been attempted but the results remain unsatisfactory.

4.2. Evaluation of Refund Request

  • Upon receiving the refund request, Hire Emmie will:
    • Review the project history and all communications between the Employer and the talent.
    • Assess whether the deliverables align with the agreed-upon scope of work.
    • Determine whether a replacement talent or a refund is appropriate.

4.3. Timeframe for Refund Decisions

  • Hire Emmie will make every effort to respond to refund requests within 10 business days. If a refund is approved, it will be processed within 14 business days from the date of approval.

5. Exclusions from Refunds

  • Change of Mind: Refunds will not be issued if the Employer changes their mind or decides they no longer need the services of the hired talent after work has commenced.
  • Scope Changes: If the Employer requests significant changes to the project scope after the talent has commenced work, the Employer is responsible for renegotiating the terms with the talent. Refunds will not be provided due to dissatisfaction arising from scope changes not agreed upon initially.
  • Delays on Employer’s Side: Refunds will not be issued for delays in project completion caused by the Employer’s failure to provide necessary materials, feedback, or responses in a timely manner.

6. Exceptional Circumstances

Hire Emmie reserves the right to assess refund requests on a case-by-case basis in situations not explicitly covered by this policy. In cases where refunds are granted under exceptional circumstances, Hire Emmie’s decision will be final.
